my first contact with a camera, happened at the age of 6, when my father, a daily news photojournalist, lent me a professional 6X6 Rolleiflex camera. That was the genesis of my passion for cameras. I used it quite a bit, even when the film would run out, I would endlessly click the shutter, only pretending to take photographs. Thus it began. Today, 42 years later, in response to the challenges and opportunities being generated by the digital revolution that is transforming our industry, I also use digital SLR cameras.

After studies in audiovisual, I started my professional career as a cameraman for the French TV channel France 3, and have been a freelance photo-reporter for the last 20 years. Since 1999, I live in Asia, where I used to cover news in South East Asia for European Press-photos Agency (EPA) freelanced for AFP, Reuters and am OnAsia member. I am based in Vientiane, Laos, where I am the first and only accredited foreign journalist . Since 2012 I spent half time in france.

my coverage has an editorial emphasis, featuring a range of photographic essays and stock photographs embracing events covering business, economy, education, environment, health, finance, politic, sports, social issues and areas of culture and entertainment.

I am also involved in social documentaries for numerous NGOs & UN organisations, as well as corporate work.

I define myself as humanitarian cameraman and try through my work, to show the feelings of benevolence, understanding and compassion toward his neighbours.

my photographs have been published in The Age, The Australian, Bangkok Post, The Guardian, International Herald Tribune, New York Times, Paris-Match, South China Morning Post, Time magazine, and among other publications in the Asian, European and North and South America areas.
